Veil, 2026

$1,250.00

By Cristina Doyle
Mixed media; fabric, Japanese hand made paper & acrylic on paper

Paper size: 77 × 55cm

Employing hessian, handmade papers, etching inks and acrylic paint, Veil forms a detailed and intriguing image that invites the viewer to take a closer, more contemplative look — behind the veil, so to speak. It aligns with the mid‑century ethic of rich texture, organic warmth and recycled ephemera, celebrating materials that feel lived‑in and tactile. Anchored by resonant tones of yellow and red at its core, the work brings a comforting, enveloping warmth to an interior setting. Currently unframed, the piece allows the purchaser the freedom to tailor a surround that best complements their personal aesthetic.
