Guilty Party, 2026

$5,800.00

Cristina Doyle
Mixed media on canvas
147 × 147cm

Guilty Party, 2026, explores the contest between red and blue as they vie for dominance across the surface. This large, square canvas channels uninhibited action and kinetic energy, with areas of loopy brushwork set against broader, flat fields of colour. Layers of material — gift wrap, fabric, and handmade coloured papers — are incorporated, adding texture and tactile contrast to the painted gestures. Why is it called Guilty Party? There’s no holding back — every part of the painting demands attention and vies for notice.
