Calmarsi, 2026

$895.00

Cristina Doyle
Mixed media art: collage, handmade paper, ink and acrylic paint. Paper size 35 × 50 cm.
Pricing includes framing.

Part two of a pair of works exploring themes of earth and regeneration. For this piece the artist has chosen rich, earthy tones and a pronounced surface texture to evoke soil, renewal and the quiet persistence of the natural world. A variety of unique printmaking and mark‑making techniques were employed to suggest the presence of land, dirt and fire, carefully layering tone, material and gesture to create a tactile, elemental response. The work’s layered surfaces and subtle shifts in colour invite close inspection and slow contemplation. The title refers to the act of grounding oneself — a return to foundations, balance and the regenerative cycles of the earth.
