Timber, ceramic mounted on hand made metal base
50 cm high x 40cm deep
A complex construction of timber pieces, each painted separately, assembled to create an evocative ‘Assembly’. A stoneware core binds the elements together, providing both structural rigidity and pockets of negative space to peer through; in other areas a blackened spot contrasts with the painted surfaces. With its balanced proportions and tactile presence, this piece is especially well suited to sit proudly on a sideboard.
