This bowl is one of five individually handmade and hand painted pieces, so each carries a natural irregularity and unique character. Each bowl is decorated with underglaze and then finished with a clear glaze, making it suitable for everyday food use. Loosely inspired by the idea of having been used at a Roman banquet, each bowl is named after a Roman signature. The surfaces are painted with a speckled finish, which gives them an unexpectedly fine, gritty texture.
