Beyond the Frame is a large-scale mixed-media painting assembled from many smaller painted and coloured pieces carefully adhered together. The result is a vibrant, energetic artwork that unmistakably shows the hand of the artist. Visible brushstrokes, deliberate drips and lively splatters serve as intentional marks within the composition. To enhance the immediacy and tactile quality of the piece, the canvas is left unstretched and hangs directly from a rod at the top.
