This work began with one long, unbroken crimson brush line that set the rhythm for everything that followed. Colours of soft and dark pink, lilac, ochre browns and winter blues combine to make it a warm and intriguing. Acrylic paint and coloured papers feature heavily in Cristina’s practice, creating contrast between hard-edged flat matt areas and chaotic brushwork. Leeway, 2026 is a small-to-medium sized artwork that nevertheless packs above its weight as a striking focal point within an interior space.
